If you would love to stay in the Halloween themed Dead & Breakfast but want to get a good night sleep we can accommodate you as well. Our historical creepy chic décor is a must see for any All Hallow’s Eve enthusiast.  This package consists of one complimentary beverage per person in The Shrunken Head, a cozy night in any of the three themed rooms, and breakfast consisting of local bakery, fruit, coffee and juice. 

This Package is $149.00 + taxes per couple.

Restless Night Interactive Package:

Check in precisely at 5pm where the host family will greet your party and accompany you during “Unhappy Hour” in the onsite watering hole called The Shrunken Head. Complimentary snacks and two of our signature concoctions or beer will certainly put you more at ease with what lies ahead. From 7pm-11pm downtown Manitowoc is yours. There are many restaurants and drinking establishments within walking distance, from high end supper clubs to corner taverns.  The choices are endless and the food is amazing. If you choose to wonder historical downtown Manitowoc, be warned, you must be back in the building by 11pm…and in your beds at midnight.  Your unrestful night “sleep” then begins….muahahaha!  Coffee is available early in the morning and our hot “goremet” breakfast is served at 10:00am.

This theatrical package is $299.00 + taxes per couple in the theme room of your choice.

Parties & Groups:

The Shrunken Head and the main parlor are also available for parties, meetings, and weddings. Catering and planning are available for an extra fee.

I had the privilege of staying at the Dead and Breakfast last night. I have to say that never in my lifetime did I ever picture myself doing something like this, but it turned out to be an AMAZING experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great time. I was very impressed by the "family" and how they were involved in most everything I did for the evening up until bed time. All those involved did an excellent job to set the mood for the evening. Even during "bedtime", which, I must say, had me completely terrified. I also have to give a plug to Jim and Dawn - they are doing great things to have their visitors visit downtown shops/restaurants and involving local bakeries and stores for most of what they buy. It's great to see their commitment to not only providing a quality experience, but also involving the community around them. Good job. You scared your Mayor. Cancellation Policy for the Dead by Dawn Dead and Breakfast

Your card will be charged for your reservation. If any additional charges are incurred during your stay, they will be charged at checkout. After inspection any damage or theft will be charged at that time.

Making a reservation at a bed and breakfast is not the same as making a hotel reservation. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason we uphold a strict cancellation policy:

 Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of their actual arrival or departure date. No-shows are also responsible for full payment of their entire reservation.

 Cancellation of (including changes to) a confirmed reservation must be made 30 or more days prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund. All cancellations are subject to a $30.00 administrative processing fee per room, per night.

 Cancellation of (including changes to) a confirmed reservation made 29 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival will only receive a refund if we can re-book the room to other guests, minus a $30.00 administrative processing fee per room, per night. There are no exceptions to this policy including sickness, family emergencies, or weather related issues. Naturally, we will make every effort to re-rent the room and return your deposit.

Our feline family members do not have access to the guest rooms but roam freely in the common areas of the Dead and Breakfast.

The Oubliette

Our haunt-themed oubliette in historic downtown Manitowoc is a must-stay for any Halloween enthusiast. The private lower level is all yours, with access to the full licensed bar and oddity gift shop right on the premises upstairs. The space houses two themed bedrooms....the Potter room and the princess room along with a kitchen and full bath. The manor has been compared to a museum displaying a vast array of macabre items and is often a destination for paranormal investigations. Join us in this unique setting where we celebrate All Hallow's Eve...every day of the year!
